Advanced Battery Power 2025
Conference: Battery Experts Gather in Aachen
A comprehensive energy and mobility transition requires innovative, technology-driven solutions along the entire value chain of batteries and battery technologies. The 17th edition of the international conference "Kraftwerk Batterie – Advanced Battery Power", taking place from April 2 to April 3, 2025, in Aachen, will provide new insights into these developments. As an English-language networking platform, the conference at the Eurogress Congress Center brings together experts from research, development, and application, offering cross-industry insights into the latest advancements and innovations.
Münster. At the international conference "Kraftwerk Batterie – Advanced Battery Power," experts and interested parties can obtain information about the latest developments from all areas of the battery value chain at the Eurogress Congress Center in Aachen. At the conference, Fraunhofer FFB will also present its range of services at booth 2 and provide insights into current development progress with numerous scientific posters.
In addition, visitors to the Fraunhofer FFB exhibition booth will benefit from an exclusive discount on tickets for the Battery Production Days, which will take place from October 21 to 22, 2025, in Münster.

Impulses for Battery Cell Production
As part of a lineup with its location partners, Fraunhofer FFB will offer all interested parties the opportunity to obtain comprehensive information and engage in discussions throughout the entire event at its exhibition booth. The focus will be on the topics of "Scaling of Product and Production Technologies", "Quality Management in Ramp-up", and "Artificial Intelligence in Battery Cell Production."
Visitors will also be able to gather early information about the "Battery Production Days" the successor to the successful Electromobility Production Days. A special highlight: Exhibition visitors will receive an exclusive discount on tickets for the Battery Production Days directly at the booth.
"As a key industry meeting point, Advanced Battery Power is an important platform for knowledge transfer and networking in battery cell production. The professional exchange not only promotes the development of more efficient and sustainable battery solutions but also strengthens collaboration within the industry" says Professor Simon Lux, Director of Fraunhofer FFB.

Current Research Findings in Poster Sessions
In the first parallel session, Professor Simon Lux, together with Professor Heiner Heimes from the PEM Chair at RWTH Aachen University, will address the regulatory requirements of the Battery Passport. Additionally, Institute Director Professor Jens Tübke, as session chair, will focus on the recycling process alongside Professor Heimes.
Furthermore, Fraunhofer FFB researchers will provide insights into current development progress across the entire battery value chain in dedicated poster sessions. They will present their latest research findings and engage in direct discussions with attendees.
Battery Day NRW as the Kickoff for the Conference
The Battery Day NRW as a prelude to the conference is embedded in the “Battery Conference 2025”, which will kick off with the Battery Day NRW on April 1, 2025. Prof. Simon Lux, Director of the Fraunhofer FFB, will give a keynote speech on the topic of “Innovations in battery research: current challenges and transfer”. The Battery Day NRW is a showcase that provides a comprehensive insight into companies and institutions from NRW that are active in battery technology and applications. In a start-up session, young founders from NRW will present how the leap from research to industry can succeed and which business ideas are new to the market. The event language of the Battery Day is German.
